Day 6 - 30 Days of Thanks!

Day 6 - I am thankful for Taz. He came in my life at a time when I really needed

him and has been there for me ever since. He makes me smile when I'm having

a bad day and makes me wanna scream some days. Wouldn't trade him for

anything.>> Even though while I was gone today he ate 8 unfrosted cupcakes

**paper and all** he found in a ziplock bag inside a tote bag, that my son left

on the floor in error. #30daysofthanks

Day 5 - 30 Days of Thanks!

Day 5 - I am thankful for new opportunities. God sees fit to bless me with new

opportunities everyday. Its up to me to make something out of them or not.

For that I am thankful. #30daysofthanks

Day 4 - Thankful for a God who heals - Praying for DJay, Shaun, their family, the

medical staff that are taking care of Djay, those who are sick and those who

need healing. #30daysofthanks

Day 2 - 30 Days of Thanks!

Day 2

I'm writing this post from home, but I have been working since about 9 a.m. For that I am thankful. You see, I left AT&T in September of 2009 and have been self employed with a home based business ever since. I currently own an event planning business, a romance party consulting business and a cupcake business. I still have my home, all of my utilities are connected and we are not hungry. Through everything God has provided and for that I am thankful.

My businesses are steadily growing. I am meeting new people and making new connections. I am constantly being inspired with new ideas.

Just today I communicated with a Neal Holmes who owns Designing Love, Inc. It's a romance and intimate event concierge service specialist business. His company combines event planning & romance consulting, two of my current passions. Wow, I would have never thought of combining my two passions before meeting Neal.

In this journey called self employment, I am constantly seeking to grow, improve and expand.  I am so thankful that God has allowed me to travel this path and thanking God in advance for things to come. I believe that right now I am where I am supposed to be, meeting people I am supposed to meet and doing the things I need to be doing.

Are you following your passions?

30 days of Thanks!

While checking Facebook tonight, I came across a post that said "Thirty days of Thankful: Today I am thankful for a beautiful, smart, amazing daughter. ;).” I thought that was such a great way to honor the Holiday season and the month of November. People complain about this and that everyday. Something terrible is reported on the news nightly. But just think how inspiring it is to list what you are thankful for and to read what others are thankful for as well.

One of my book club members mentioned this summer about writing a gratitude journal and listing 5 things you are grateful for daily. Not only does this cause you to be aware of the good things that are happening in your life, but it also causes you to focus on those good things and actually look for and expect good things to happen.

My church member reposted something she read before… What if you woke up with only what you thanked God for yesterday? I thought WoW! “What if I ONLY had today what I THANKED God for yesterday?” I take so many things for granted. That has to change.

I googled 30 days of thanks and came across the website 30daysofthanks.com after reading the info on the website decided, this is how I am going to show my gratitude at least through the month of November.

So here’s the “rules” as listed on 30daysofthanks.com, but feel free to adapt it as you see fit.

Here's how to play (more details on the website)
1. First and foremost, The goal is to consciously engage in (at least) one moment of thankfulness every day this month. That's it.
2. The thing for which you give thanks can be big or small
3. Sharing it via social media or in some other way (as) a gift to the world
4. Share what you're thankful for, say it aloud, write it on paper, blog about it, share it with those you love over dinner, draw something, or even sing it. Just make the way you do it your own--as unique and special as you are!
5. If you're going to share online, grab the graphic and put it on your blog, or wherever you're sharing
6. Email them when you begin (30daysofthanks at gmail dot com).
7. Spread the gratitude if you feel moved
8. Visit the blogs of other thankful people
9. Notice if anything changes for you this month…and let them know about it.

I don’t believe in coincidences. Receiving the same message from several different sources affirmed that this is what I need to do.
So….
